The World Race: 11 Countries, 11 Months

Here is a quick glimpse into The World Race and what life will be like for me beginning July 2015!

I am so excited to begin on this journey, and appreciate your support throughout it!!

What is The World Race?

The World Race is an 11 month, 11 country missions trip program based out of Adventures in Missions (AIM). Adventures is an inter-denominational organization that has sent out more than 100,000 people on missions trips since 1989. They have several different trips that vary by country and time on the field. The goal of AIM and the World Race is to minister to the least of these and bring the Gospel to every nation. www.adventures.org     www.theworldrace.org

What will I be doing?

This can look different in each country, and even week to week. During the 11 months on the field, my team and I will be partnering with local ministries to assist with any of their needs. This could be anything from working in orphanages, assisting in hospitals/medical clinics to those with HIV, Fighting against sex-trafficking, Vacation Bible Schools, praying for healing over the sick, and building relationships in our local communities.

When am I leaving?

July 2015

Where am I going?

These are the countries that are currently on my route: South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, India, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. These locations are subject to change, given any danger present in the area.

Who will I travel with?

Somewhere around 40/50 people will sign up for the route I am on; these people will be on my squad. We will all be going to the same countries at the same time, but not necessarily doing the same ministries. The squad will be broken down into teams of 6-7 people. Within the squad and team, we have team leaders and coaches who help lead us while we are on the field.

How can you support me?

The easiest way for you to donate will be here through my blog. There is a link at the top of the page that says “Support Me.” Once you click on that you will be able to complete a one-time donation or a monthly donation. It takes a couple of days for online donations to process, so the meter won’t jump up immediately.

If you would like to send a check, please make it payable to Adventures in Missions and send it to the following address:

 Adventures In Missions

 PO BOX 742570

 Atlanta, GA 30374-2570

*Make sure the memo line includes: Elizabeth Dews

*Checks can take up to two weeks to be processed!

 Monthly Donations: Dynapay

If you feel called to donate on a monthly basis, use Dynapay, as it is the easiest and most cost-effective method.

• Dynapay is an option for donating through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT),which allows a donor to set up a monthly donation through the donor’s personal checking account.

• Donors are unable to make a one-time only donation through Dynapay; this is strictly for reoccurring donations.

• A donor can set up their reoccurring donation by going to the following website https://www.adventures.org/dynapay and completing the required fields.

• Donations through Dynapay typically take 1-2 weeks to be processed. Donations are withdrawn from the donor’s account on the 3rd or the 18th of the month.

• Donors may set up an end date for their reoccurring donations when they set up their initial DynaPay account.

• If a donor does not select an end date a donor MUST submit a written request (fax, letter, e-mail) to Donor Relations to stop their reoccurring donation. This will NOT happen automatically. A two weeks advance notice must be provided to stop any future reoccurring donations.

IMPORTANT: All donors need to STOP their reoccurring donations after the participant’s 6th month on the field (December)

• There is no processing fee charged when using Dynapay.
