I really need to stop blogging about our ministry before we actually get there.  Let’s take a look at what’s happened each time I’ve done it:

– Month two.
– Plan: Moldova
– Reality: Romania
– Month three.
– Plan: Egypt
– Reality: Croatia
– Month four.
– Plan: ethnographic research on the Zaza people group in eastern Turkey.
– Reality: family band traveled to Diyarbakir by accident, played worship music in the main square, and traveled around eastern Turkey to see a bunch of other people groups.
– Month five.
– Plan: work with Bedouins in Arad, work in soup kitchen in Jerusalem.
– Reality: work with Bedouins in Arad, work in soup kitchen for a day (the most hectic and crazy day of my life) and visit the holy sites of the city.
And now we come to month six.  I know I said we were going to be in Kampala, Uganda, with Phoenix working with people in the Kampala slums, especially child-head families.
Well, plans have changed again.  We’re staying in Kenya.
Sofia will be working with Fanatic just outside Eldoret, Kenya, with a church near that town.  Looks like there will be some construction work and some convention set-up involved, but as well we know by now on the Race, you never know where you’ll be until you get there.  We’re leaving Nairobi on Monday, so keep us in your prayers for safe travel while we head to our location.
PS. Everyone should go to Kenya.  It’s awesome.
