My dearest family and friends,
If you are reading this letter, you’ve played an influential role in my life, and I invite you into another chapter of my journey! As you may be aware, I spent the past few years running my business, EB Photography + Artistry. It created several opportunities, including photographing for non-profits and ministries. A few months ago, I attended a humanitarian photography workshop in Nepal and it wrecked me. This experience confirmed my passion for using artistic talents for social justice awareness, furthering the kingdom in cross-cultural settings, and fulfilling the Great Commission. So after Nepal, I sensed the Lord asking me to put a pause on my business and trust him for a longer period of time in the mission field. I felt the “best next step” was to serve with Adventures in Missions on the World Race.
The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip in 11 countries around the world. One of the unique things about the program is that it’s not only a mission trip, but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch us into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to human trafficking victims, and extend the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. Also on the World Race, I will be living a life of simplicity. All of my possessions will be contained in a backpack (quite the challenge for me, HA!).
This is where you come in! I cannot do any of this without support. First, prayer is an immensely powerful thing. Please partner with my team and me in fervent prayer. Second, like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. I must raise $16,500. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip.
