So much has happened in the last 2 weeks.
I’m still processing and thinking about everything that happened and that was said.
I went into Training Camp with no expectations. It was designed that way, and I’m glad. I have never sweated, smelled, not showered and cried in front of strangers more than I have during training camp. And yet, I feel so alive.
I don’t know how to describe how I feel and what I experienced. I feel that, every time I start thinking about training camp, I remember something new.
So, I will share what impacted me most:
1.) THE WORSHIP BAND. Everything they played, and every time they played, was heaven on earth in the literal sense. They are a huge gift from God.
2.) While sitting in a circle debriefing after a session, I was asking God to show me how He loves me. And, I got a picture of my dad. My dad, Tim, loves me and supports me until the ends of the earth. I have the best dad in the world. He is one of those people, that others say,
“Man, your dad is so cool! I can learn so much from your dad.”
I always nod in understanding. And knowing that he loves me so much, and that my Heavenly fathers love is so much greater than any human love, is indescribable to me. His love overwhelms me!
3.) During a session about listening prayer, we practiced it. A few people came and stood up at the front, and certain sections of the room prayed for a specific person. As I was praying, I had so much hope to hear something. I know God is real, and He is always with me! I have never had a deep connection with God before, so there was a very large cloud of doubt in me. But, I heard something. And, when we shared, I shared. And I know it was from God. PRAISE JESUS!
4.) During a sleeping scenario, we decided to pray for a squad mate because she wasn’t feeling well, and what do you know?! She was healed, and her healing led to an entire evening of prayer and worship from us. JESUS HEALS!
5.) Near the end of camp, we went through and verbally committed to each other, and our leaders. We went in a circle that started at Sam, our squad mentor. She committed to me. She committed to being there for me, even when I didn’t want her there. From there, we went through our squad leaders, Eryn, Kacie and Kaiden. When I got to Kaiden, he took a moment to hear from the Holy Spirit; looked at me, and told me that this year was going to be a year of growth for me. Namely, I am going to learn how to feel this year. God knows that is exactly what I need from my leaders, and what I need to learn. THANK YOU JESUS!
God knows my heart and where I long to be, what hurts me most, what I delight in, and how much I love. Isn’t that amazing? God will provide in every aspect for us all.
Although there were so many more moments and memories, these were the most impactful moments for me.
So, meet some of the people I met, have grown to love and will be journeying with the next 9 months!

A newfound, fantastic friend who has put up with a lot from me during camp. Thanks for not getting (noticeably) annoyed, Hannah!
One of the most encouraging and overflowing people I know, Taite!
One of the most alive people I know who is an incredible woman of God, who I know will be a lifelong friend, Lisa.
I just thank Jesus that I am able to be apart of this journey and with these amazing people!
{If you want to know more of training camp, or the World Race, let me know! I want to tell you everything!}
