I am here in Quito Ecuador! This is mainly an update letting you all know, I am here safe! I have another more detailed blog post about this past week.

I am living with the entire squad at a house called Casa Blanca. It is apparently the rainy season here, but it hasn’t really been rainy.

Here is a view from the property where we live. It’s hard to get a good picture because the mountains/volcanoes are constantly clouded over.

Everyday my team and I take a bus to go to a church in Carapungo, which is a part of Quito, to our ministry site. This past week, we handed out fliers to advertise for the English classes we will be teaching at the church. These next two weeks, we will be actually teaching.

The English classes are a way to bring people into the church that might not have thought about coming to church. It also helps with English, because most schools do not teach English as a second language.

Very soon, my team and a few other teams will find out where we will be moving to for the next two months here in Ecuador. And some of the all-girls teams will be staying at Casa Blanca.

It is a struggle to be living with 55 other people, but it is also amazing. It is amazing to get to know people that are not on my team, and to pour into their lives. God has already moved in people’s lives here, and I can’t wait to see what else He will do.

Thank you everyone for all the support and prayers! This first week has been really hard for a lot of us, and knowing we have prayers coming over us, is a huge blessing and comfort.

Love and blessings to you all!
