So I noticed that there was a survey making its way around the S-Squad’s blogs.  So in honor of whoever started this survey, here is mine!

What was your favorite food when you were a child?
 Kaiser Cannonballs.  It's my family's traditional Christmas breakfast thats really similar to Monkeybread

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Putting laundry away.  I work in retail and spend all day folding clothes, I don’t want to come home to more folding.

Swimming
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?
After dark, I am a TOTAL night owl/ IDK, Tuesday? That’s when my college group meets/ January: it’s a new year with a fresh start, plus my favorite kind of weather is a cool, crisp, clear day!
What’s your least favorite mode of transportation?
Donkey, when I was in Greece in 2010, we rode donkeys up the hill to Fira, Santorini and they loved hanging you off the edge of the cliff as they climbed up!

If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
A surprise party! (I love surprises as long as I don’t know there is going to be a surprise)
If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?
The sunrise while cruising into Corfu, Greece or one of Venice’s many waterways or the sunset over Long Beach
If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
I don’t know, I like aging (is that weird?) I like learning everyday and would hate to think of a day when I didn’t learn something.
If you knew the world was ending in 2012, what would you do differently?
Stop making excuses for why I haven’t done something and just do it.  Such as spending more time on missions trips
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
 Speak every language because I am a horrible linguist
If you had to work on only one project for the next year, what would it be?
Medical care for the people of the world

If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
When I was younger I would have said Emily.  But at this point I would probably go by my middle name: Yvonne

This question is impossible!!  Jesus, Paul, Mary, Hannah, and Esther but on a lighter note: all my favorite Country Music Stars and Sandra Bullock
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Put the money in savings so that my parents could retire and start their dreams of travelling the world.
If you could know the answer to any question, besides “What is the meaning of life?”, what would it be?
Why in the world am I important enough to God that He would give up His Son’s life for mine.  I do not deserve it!

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
I have never gotten mistaken for anyone.  I want to think that I am unique! 🙂
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A Nurse Practioner who works in the NICU (Neonatal intensive care unit)
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
 Reading, however I can never read for only 30 minutes at a time
What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Um, I don’t know. But definitely a mix of Christian, Country, and Musicals!
Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
YES!!! I feel like that is when God communicates to me best, haha! I am the type that is a constant planner, and the cliché quote “Man plan, God laughs” is an unofficial maxim of mine.
What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?
I don’t want to sound heartless, but I am not someone who cries over that kind of stuff.  However, PS, I Love You gets me every time!!  Also, Karen Kingsbury’s multiple series books about the Baxter Family (look them up, they are all amazing!) made me tear up a little on the last book.
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Tell my parents that I wasn’t going to be returning to my college at this time, but instead was going to get my EMT cert and go on the World Race.
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Realizing that I had to start walking in the way God was leading.  I was letting fear and indecision get in the way of just following where He was leading me.  Thankfully He knows everything and that’s why I’m going on the World Race
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?
Parenting my sister!  I liked that I was the older sister and thought that it was my responsibility to tell her what to do.  Needless to say, that cause a lot of problems.
When was the last time you had an amazing meal?
Last week my mom fixed Mahi Mahi that my dad had caught when he was deep sea fishing.
What do you miss most about being a kid?
NAPTIME!!!!! I hated naptime when I was younger.  Now I take back every time that I refused to nap!
What is your first memory of being really excited?
Um, the one time that sticks out is my 7th birthday.  I knew that our friends’ dogs were going to have puppies and they ended up being born the morning of my birthday.  So, we got to go see them after church!  That was one of the best birthday presents ever!
What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
 I don't know, who remembers those kinds of things?
When was the last time you were nervous?
Talking to my college group about the World Race and asking them to pray for me and consider donating money.
What story does your family always tell about you?
I was a few years old and at a friend’s birthday party.  At that time my nickname was “The Energizer Bunny.”  I was having fun running around with the “big kids” when my parents watched me change from a full run to a jog to a walk to crawling to being asleep on the cement, all in about a 5 second span!
At what age did you become an adult?
Adult? What’s that?
What is the coolest place you’ve ever been to?
The Mediterranean.  But if I have to choose between the places, It would be either Ephesus, Venice, or Rome
What is one word that you would use to describe yourself?
 Contradictory, I'm outgoing, but shy.  Loud, but quiet.  Sarcastic, but serious.  I don't make sense to myself, let alone to anyone else, haha!
