I am in a very busy season of life right now, I am graduating next month and gaining 5 extra letters to the end of my name; RN, BSN.

I am currently completing my Capstone (Internship) at MD Anderson on the stem cell transplant floor. Oncology was the only specialty I hadn’t experienced yet in my clinicals, and I am so happy to my end my time as a student nurse here at MDA.

I am soaking up as much time with my friends on my favorite little island as I can. The past, nearly 16 months, have been some of the best of my life. If you’re reading this, my precious friends, I am so proud of you all and I CANNOT wait to hear all about ya’ll’s first year being nurses. Your future patients will be so blessed by you.

I have been communicating with my future squad mates, and everything is beginning to feel much, much more real. The emotions & reality of packing up my life into a 50 lb. backpack and boarding a flight with a return ticket nearly a year later, hadn’t been exposed until very recently.

I am beginning to understand just how challenging the Race will be. In a group message last week someone said that Asia has spiders the size of your hand.

I regret google imaging that.

Someone else said they have a friend currently on the Race who woke up to mice eating lice out of her hair.

Wait, what?

This next year is going to be the most challenging, rewarding, and humbling experience.

I am going to be stretched in so many ways.

But I am excited to take this leap of faith, to grow closer to God while finding out who God wants me to be. I am so excited to be vulnerable and uncomfortable for God because I know he will use this opportunity to breathe life into my squad and I. And through that, we can show agape to God’s children all across the nations.

THANK YOU to everyone who has prayed for me, offered me encouraging words and supported me financially the past 7 months! I am forever grateful for your love and support!

xoxo
