————end of travel day schedule—————
We only took a little nap so that we wouldn't mess up our sleep schedule. I probably could have slept til the next morning but I am glad I only took a nap because I got to go SWIMMING! For those who know me, know that is one of my favorites things and I haven't had a chance to swim much this summer. We also player some intense water polo. Some went to the grocery store to get dinner, breakfast, and lunch…maybe dinner for the next night.
Yogurt for breakfest…was the plan. If you have ever been to a foriegn country where you don't know the lanuage, mistakes are made pretty easily and often. I ate sour cream with sugar and granola for breakfest. Then I had a egg sandwich for lunch.
Went back to the church to start ministry for the first time this month. This race. I started mopping the floor and discovering that I can't get this floor clean. The workers who don't speack english laugh every once in a while but I am not sure it is directed at me. About 30-45 mins later, someone comes and tells me 'no, can't get clean, don't worry. just mop' I am then asked to scrub the paint off the floor. I start. About 10 mins later, another person tells me though translating to not worry about the paint because they are going to repaint the wall in the same area I was scrubbing.
Anyway, I try to find something else to do. 5 mins pass. One of the workers say my name and ask me to come scrub the paint. Why the contradiction? I am guessing because he liked my company even though we couln't speak each others' languages.
Halfway through the afternoon workday, one of my packmates started to feel bad, nauseous at the beginning. Then it just got worse as the day went on. Towards the end, I started feeling nauseous as well. I am going to end here and explain what happened after I got back to our house in the next blog.
