Okay, so I know I have been sounding like a debbie downer on here lately. For that, I am truely sorry. But guess what?!? This is going to be different…it is going to be a HAPPY post!
not so quick preface-I didn't know a world racer before training camp. My friend found the WR site by searching things and then sent the link to me. I think she was talking about after graduation but well, God is in control. Anyway, I looked at the site, put it off for about a year and half, applied, got accepted and now waiting to launch.
–My friend is in Nicaragua right now and has been for two months and one more month before she comes back. She asked me where I would be going on my trek around the world. I then explained my route and the WR. I got really excited answering and talking about it. Lately, I have been listing the countries…well trying to, I seem to always miss one or two. I didn't really care and share excitedly about what I was doing but she was interested! She asked about everything such as the application process, the interview, what the money was going towards,traveling, saftey, what I would be doing, all of it. We started talking around 11:30PM last night. We talked for about an hour and half. I had a really hard time going to bed after that. I didn't go to sleep til early this morning.
I recieved my first $22 very soon after I posted the event. I had people telling others about this event. A friend came to my work to give me a donation. I have gotten news about a check being sent in within a week. For the first time since the week after training camp, my account balance increased!
I found out my launch date and where to meet today! I am meeting with my squad as well as the other September squad [Z squad] on September 6th in Atlanta! I am so glad that we are meeting there because my plane tickets was less than $80! New countdown-40 days til launch! #isthisreallife?

-Pray that all my squadmates meet our next financial deadline [Total of $6000 by August 18th]
–Pray for my sister and her fiance, Darrell, as their wedding date approaches. [August 13th!!]
-As of right now, I have $3,092.50 in my account. Which means: $2,907.50 to meet the August deadline. $11,707.50. It is so amazing to see that number go down!
