Our bar-outreach has
been focused mainly on these young girls. We pair up and go inside the bars. We order a non-alcoholic drink such as a Coke and start up a
conversation with a girl or two near by. Since we look like foreigners the girls are always eager to befriend
us. And most of them know English since
they have practiced it so much with the men. I always buy a Coke for the girls that comes to talk to me. I have noticed that it opens a door with them
that allows me to minister to them when I buy them a Coke. One time I was asking one of the girls if she
knew any English. I learned that was the
wrong question to ask when she pulled out a little note pad. The booklet had writing in it of short
phrases such as ‘I’ll do better next time’, and ‘Do you want more’. Instead of asking if the girls know English,
now I just start talking to them and hope they understand. The other day during bar-outreach, I had a
Thai translator with me. I took that
opportunity to present the full gospel to two girls; which was the first time
they had heard the truth about Jesus and the Lord in full detail. I explained the comparison of Buddhism and
Hinduism and Christianity. And also
about the difference between religion and relationship. It was a pretty heavy and intense
conversation. But as they kept asking
more questions I kept answering them. It
was defiantly their time to hear the Gospel. I am still in astonishment that God used me to pour out His glory and
loving message of salvation in such a time in these girls lives. The perfect time in their lives. One of the
girls asked to received the salvation through Jesus and so we prayed with
her. And the other girl wanted to do the
same but was hesitant because she still had so many questions and confusion
between Christ and Buddha. Both are now
attending the English class ministry to learn more about this Christ-Like love
and salvation.
