who are you? And what are you doing?

I don’t know you are — but I am glad you stopped to read.

So if you’re wondering who I am and what I’m about– let me tell you.

I am twenty years old and currently live in Cincinnati OH. I work two jobs and also work for a couple different families as a childcare provider.  I have 7 younger brothers and sisters – who I love like crazy. And two amazing parents who have faithfully loved, served, and supported each other for 22 years, setting an example of a solid marriage their children. Yes, I am so lucky.

If you know me any, you would know that I love life.  I have an excitement for living – I thrive on living to the full capacity (and sometimes extreme) every day.  I don’t know about you, but I only got one shot at this life – and I wanna make it count. Yes, you could say I love living on the edge.

Crazy as it might sound, the joys I find in life has been fueled and bred through a lot of hard times.

I have lived though a lot of heartache, hurt, frustration, disappointment, lies, and more than one type of abuse.

 I know what suicide is – I’ve survived myself twice. I know the fear that grips when death stares you in the eye – or the eyes of someone you love. I know the sting of rejection by those you trusted most. I have lived under the bondage of legalism.  And though it all, I have come to know that there is a God thart’s bigger and stronger than it all!

He has taken me and walked me though some of the highest highs and lowest lows – it’s been one heck of a ride let me just tell ya!

This ‘wild ride’ has taken me to to some incredible places in the world, most recently Nicaragua this past summer.

And now, God has brought me to a cause that I’ve never felt more strongly about – the issue of Human Trafficking.

 

In January I will be leaving with 30 other individuals who are tired of doing nothing about the fact that TENS of THOUSANDS of innocent children and woman are being sold into slavery year. There are millions of children right now – as young as four years old living in modern day slavery. I have heard the call to be a part of change. I believe that with God’s help and support from people like you, that not change occur – but I believe an END.

Will you join me in this cause to bring freedom, justice and worth to millions of lives held hostage?!
