I swear we landed on a rock mine……I have never seen this many rocks in my life….seriously! The more we dig the bigger rocks we find. If you didn’t know my team’s project was planting a flower bed and gardening, well with that you have to dig up soil to add new healthy soil for the plants. Well with that we not only found dirt, but rocks, fire ants, spiders, and you who know me know I don’t do spiders, and broken glass, oh and did I forget to mention rocks! After days of working outside and actual hard manual labor I have so much more respect for any kind of job that requires brute strength and lots of equipment and repetitive motion. With all this I am so thankful for all this work. Not only because I built some serious muscle, but the built relationship with my girls. We laughed, talked, made up songs to throw rocks too, danced, and occasionally threw dirt and had a root thrown at you once or twice;) Although I wouldn’t mind NOT seeing another rock these next eleven months I am so thankful for the natural progression of the relationship I’m developing with my team through the digging of rocks. I'm so excited for the future of my team and how the Lord works in each of us:)

Here are some pictures of our rock graveyard 😉 Oh and thanks to 6th grade camp to Sonora where we “mined” for gold. That’s the memory that kept playing in my mind as I sifted through dirt to what?….find rocks! (shocker I know;)

Yes those rocks used to be in the ground, that is the sifter we used to get rocks out and keep dirt. Bottom picute is the "rock graveyard" the new home for the rocks;)
