My favorite thing to eat here in Thailand has been the Rotee, like a sweet dough crepe like filled with banana or just topped with chocolate, honey, or sweet condensed milk or if you’re daring you'll try all three. It’s sweet goodness in your mouth. Tuesday night started with visiting my girls at Mojo Bar and playing a couple rounds of pool. Their faces lit up when we arrived and I was filled with gladness that the bar was a bit slow and we were able to hang out with them without any “distractions”. The night went off normal until we were getting to leave (we tend to stay no more than an hour, don’t want to outstay our welcome:/) I asked Jeanine if she would like to have lunch with us the following day. After much back and forth conversation I thought she understood me but God had made other plans. That is instead of waiting God planned it out right there and then. Ok I panicked a little because I thought to myself “crap we don’t have enough to pay the “bar fee” (have to pay the bar owners to take girls out during work hours) ugh we’re going to have to tell them no after all. But God good as He is with His perfect set of plans made it so that we didn’t have to pay the bar fee and the owner, small petite Thai woman, was excited for the girls to go out with us. What?! Ok God I see what you’re doing and we are grateful! SO we took the girls out to eat some Rotee and sit on the side of the street with them and enjoy our desserts.
Now I want you to picture: 2 American Ladies (me and Krystyna) with 1 lady boy, and 1 beautiful Thai prostitute sitting curbside on a street known for its “tourist attractions” eating Rotee's. I must say I rather enjoyed seeing the different looks we got. Some sadly looked on in judgment, some were utterly confused at what the four of us had in common, and others did a double take upon passing us. Well let me tell you what we have in common, we are all beautiful women and daughters of the Father. We are equal in His eyes. We are equally beautiful and worthy to Him. When you see through the Lords eyes there’s no difference. Although it was only 30min of an outing it was a precious time of getting to know them and having a dessert with friends. Short and sweet. Times like these are not calculated in minutes but in smiles and warm fuzzies
Yup I serve a ridiculously awesome God.
If you're looking for that end of the year tax deductible gift look no further, just look to the "support me" link on the left:) I still am in need of about $5,000 to meet my deadline on January 1st to stay on the Race.
