Fundraiser

So I did a fundraiser to help raise money for my passport.

I wrapped Books in brown wrapping paper, and made tags to go on them, so the book ‘Lord of the rings’ would have tags like, Castles, Elves,Swords, Battles, things like that.

People read the tags till they found a book that sounded interesting and then they bought it. I had it a donation bases, so whatever they felt led to pay was how much it cost.

That’s How I am going to do a lot of my fundraisers for my gear and stuff, If I am  supposed to go on this trip God will provide the money for it.

I had little gifts to go along with the books, gum, candles, calendar, etc.

I didn’t expect to raise a lot of money, I knew it was an odd fundraiser, so I decided even if no one showed up I would have a good time hanging out with friends.

I raised $87 dollars, and only sold around six books.

It wasn’t people I didn’t know that bought books, Only one person I didn’t know showed up.

It was my friends, even a friend that didn’t read a lot still bought one.

I’m very grateful that God has sent me such awesome amazing friends.

If you think the “Blind Date with a Book”( thats what I called it) was a good idea and want to participate in it, it’s not too late I have some books online, on Facebook, you find one you like, you can pay through PayPal and I will mail it to you, with some treats, Hot coco packet, Caramel candies, Candy canes, etc.
