"Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace!" Nahum 1:15

My mind immediately jumps to Peru, a mere nine months from now.  Stop number four on "La Ruta", the name of my World Race.  I am sitting in the hills with my teammates, amidst indigenous Peruvians whose only inkling of Jesus is the love that we have been able to show them in the few short hours we've been there.  A little girl stares at me shyly from behind her mother's back as I crouch down to give her a smile at eye level.  After a nudge of assurance from her mom, she sheepishly smiles back.  I ask her a series of questions, but she doesn't seem too keen on conversation.  I take the spotlight off of her and instead point out how the clouds seem to be hiding behind the mountains, much like she was hiding behind her mom.  Would those clouds ever come out to play, or will they linger there, afraid of the unknown?  She smiles more confidently this time, and I praise God in the moment the new friend I have just made.

I am excited as I drift back into present day.  This little girl is out there waiting for me!  She's somewhere.  And she alone is worth living out of a tent for 11 months.  God has so many ministry opportunities waiting for me out in the field that I can't even imagine the enormity of it all!  I am ready to go wherever he wants to take me!

I want to encourage you in this as well: If you feel  like God is telling you to pursue missions, do yourself a favor and go!  Please don't be afraid, because his love will cast out any fear that you may have!  He has something remarkable planned for your life, and he really is looking out for your best interest.  Jesus says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;  therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."  Matthew 9:37-38

The world is a big place with infinite possibilities to work for the Lord.  Is he calling you to go?
