Before I write this blog I just want to say thank you to everyone who is supporting me in any way, shape, or form. Words simply cannot express my gratitude, but I hope that through reading my blogs, you will be able to witness what God is doing through your gifts and prayers.
This is the first official week of my world race, and God is already doing amazing things in my heart and in the hearts of everyone on my squad. We are currently in Tegucigalpa, Honduras staying at a ministry site that is blessing us in so many ways. We have been focusing on the importance of community for the past few days and The Spirit is here, causing us to develop true relationships with one another that will stand as testimony of Christ’s love on their own.
I am convinced that we will be able to share God’s Love by merely entering a dark world with joy in our hearts, unified in love for one another. We will be able to lead people to Him, without even speaking! The community here in Honduras is able to see how we treat each other and it doesn’t make sense to them. It really doesn’t even make sense to us. Loving one another through every flaw and shortcoming is just not a natural tendency for the human race. Treating men as brothers and women as treasures is not the norm in most places.
Our community and understanding of each other can only be a manifestation of our relationships with our Father. We may not all speak the language of these people, but they can sense that something is special within us and they want to have it. It is amazing to me that I can be a witness for God by simply spending time with awesome people. I am so blessed to have my squad and I am so thankful for what is happening in Honduras. Things are beginning to change in this country, and we are here to play whatever part God has for us to play and I cannot wait to see how this comes into motion! God is so good!
