Wow. It is so crazy to think that in a week I will be leaving the area of the world that I have fallen most in love with. Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand were countries that provided environments for me to grow, be challenged, explore, immerse into unique cultures, and so much more. Because of that, I have written some words about these beautiful areas.

has four walls and a roof
thankful for the locals
a land of smiles and generosity
that never cease to leave
an impact on travelers
thankful for the street food
taking my taste buds to a
spicy world and showing that
chefs don’t need degrees and stars
but instead simply need passion
thankful for the children
with smiling faces and
open hearts and arms for hugs
they welcomed me into the
role as their teacher
thankful for the challenges:
the language barrier,
the shame honor culture, and
the idea of teaching countless days
whatever the challenge was
resulted in the most amazing
growth and opportunities
to show love and respect
to this unique area in the world

to describe the depth of growth
that have occurred in me
