Hello friends and family,

I would like to thank you all for the comments you make on my blogs. Because of poor wifi connections I am not always able to respond but I see them all and they are so special to me. I decided to give you all a glimpse of what a day looks like in my life in Zambia.

So I have been living in a village called Singnanga. It is about an hour away from Victoria falls and the village runs beside the river that feeds in to Victoria Falls. I am camping in my tent this month so I set up my tent about 20 feet away from the water so every morning I wake up, open my tent and have my Bible time watching the sunrise. Also *side note* I bought a mini French press for $4 and it is the best purchase I have made,  so I make fresh coffee just for myself every morning

Our typical days consist of waking up at 5 am to watch the sunrise, drink coffee and have my Bible time then breakfast is at 8am. Our ministry here is fairly relaxed. The ministry host are 2 missionaries from Missouri who have been married about 2 years, they decided God was calling them overseas so they have been here for about a year. So continuing on with our day, after breakfast we begin mudding. To give you a better understanding of what that means, basically we get piles of dirt, make them into mud and then begin to build a house. We have been working on a library that they are building here. It has been one of my favorite things we do everyday, not only do I get to play in mud, but also learn how hard they work here and how much creativity they have. After lunch we do odd jobs around the compound like washing the cars, painting, cleaning and we also tutor the kids in reading, math and English. Some days we go into the villages and meet some of the people. It has been so incredible to walk to the villages and just talk to the people, hear their stories and see how they live their lives. Some people are very open and share with us their struggles, others don’t really want to open up to us. Our goal here, is to build relationships with the people of these villages so we can begin to share the gospel to them.

By far this month has been my favorite so far. God has shown me so much because this month I have chosen to give up so much! I have chosen to go this month with no make up, no wifi and no candy. So yeah it’s been hard at times but I’m making it through. I am so grateful for the lessons I learn each day about surrender and I have enjoyed giving my desires over to the Lord.

Because we live in a village their are certain things that happen here that I have never experienced before like witchdoctors and other witchcraft traditions. I ask you all to be in fervent prayer for our team. Spiritually I have been attacked several times and I feel a darkness over some of the people in the village here. At the same time I have never experienced the Lord in such an amazing way. In Psalms 34 it says I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all of my fears. I have experienced the Lord deliver me from some fears I have had from the enemy and also the attacks I have had this past week.

I love you all very much and I so appreciate your support. I hope you all and enjoying this holiday season with the ones you love and are remembering why we celebrate this special holiday. God bless you all.
