On Sunday, January 16th, me, my teammate Christy, our squad leader Kristen and our two friends from Sweden, Helena and Alfred, took a 3 hour journey to a church in the mountains. This church is located in a remote village where the “untouchables” reside, a community of lepers seeking God’s heart, but have been outcasted due to their disease. In biblical times, when there was no known treatment for leprosy, those with the disease were quarantined in areas known as “leper colonies”, this still happens to this day. Nobody should be treated this way, but it occurs all across the world. Getting to visit and minister to them was such an honor, with love and light in their eyes they allowed me to tell them part of my own story! Now I am sharing with you part of theirs. Enjoy this little video of our trek to church!
