¡Hola!
The past 3 weeks, Team Petros has tasted and seen the kingdom of God.
We have been doing door to door house visits in 3 villages; Cajahualten, Chirihuyu, and Corrales. The goal is to build relationships with the people to eventually host a soccer ministry at the Adventures in Missions base in Parramos, Guatemala.
House visits usually look like a bunch of gringos knocking on someone’s door and interrupting their day to tell them about the kingdom and show them what its like. Most times, we are greeting with wonderful hospitality, and sometimes we are served food & help make tortillas!
Last week we’re were BATTLING some spiritual oppression. 3 men had Salmonella, our minds were being attacked, and we were dreading ministry. Praise God that we have been equipped with armor & have the Word of God to fight with in prayer. We saw SO much fruit in the same week. The Lord brought healing, hope, and empowerment to the people in the villages we were in.
Now, Team Petros will be heading into the mountains of Guatemala, partnering with a ministry called BirdHouse in the village of Chiciman. It’s 7.5 hours away from the AIM base, and all of us are so excited!
Pray for our squad. That while we are away, our unity as a squad would be cultivated, as well as intimacy within each separate group. Pray that we all keep in step with the Spirit, and allow the Lord to purify our hearts through refinement.
