I have to say this month in Guatemala has been nothing less than a month of growth and I’m looking forward to the rest of the time here. I’ve taken up new routines that I plan to keep the rest of my life, because the Lord revealed to me that I was in need of self discipline. That fact is nothing but truth, without routine and discipline im prone to wasting time and opportunity. So everyday except Saturday and Sunday I have committed to waking up at 4am to read the word for thirty minutes and then workout to stay in shape for boxing. With that discipline and keeping God first, he has blessed me with my own personal boxing ministry 3 days a week. Every class I share a word with the group and train them into warriors. 4 days a week my team and I have “Ask the Lord” ministry in a town called corrales. Here we have de husked corn and prayed over individuals and families, and played soccer with the kids. The Lord even allowed us to witness some healing one day when we prayed over a mans broken foot. To go more in depth into that, here’s the story.
So it was activation day on the first week and this activation day consisted of a word being shared and then taking quiet time with the lord to receive a personal vision/word. once quiet Time was done, my team and I shared what we got before going out into corrales to put it into action. Phillip got yellow houses, Jacob got a green door, Junior (our leader) got someone with a broken leg/arm, Ben got the word ”follow”, and Carter got a vision of himself flying high above like an eagle in the sky. So once we got to corrales we basically combined all of our visions/words we got from the Lord and set off. We decided to go in the direction of these condors flying in circles far away which led us up this insanely long trail climbing this mountain. After what seemed like 2 hours, we arrived at this smaller village that had a few yellow houses! We walked on trying a couple houses but one of them rejected us and the others were empty. As we continued on we ended up praying for this elderly couple who both had head pain. The husband said he felt better after praying over him, the wife however said she felt the same. Walking in search of God’s will, we saw this man in a cruch standing next to his 4 year old daughter. Ben said hey let’s talk to this guy. After introducing ourselves we asked him how he broke his foot, he said when he was riding his horse, it tripped and fell on it. Not even remembering what Juniors’ vision was we asked him what his pain level was and if we could pray for him; he told us currently it was an 8. We all prayed aloud for the first time, nothing, second time, he said it was a 4, third time, still a 4, fourth time, he said (with a semi nervous semi shocked face) that there’s no pain. Now everyone, especially Caleb was excited and he was telling him walk without the crutch. He didn’t while we were with him because he said he was scared, but when we passed his house going back home, we witnessed him walking without it. I knew God would heal him, even if we didn’t see it, but God allowed us to see the fruit of our faith in his healing power, on the first activation day.
On New Years, the squad decided to do declarations for 2019, I didn’t think much of mine until the next day but God put some words on my heart.
2019 Declaration
I declare that this year will be a year of great growth. No longer will I be controlled by my past failures, nor my fears. No longer will I ignore the calling God has placed in my life, no longer will I be a slave to laziness. I will seek God wholeheartedly. I will listen more than I speak. I will lead when he calls me to lead. I will not be controlled by my anger or sadness. Through his spirit I will lead those set before me, into the promises that he has called unto us all. I no longer will sit by idly and watch, I no longer will remain silent. I will no longer doubt, I will no longer fly, I will strive, I will fight. Not by my strength alone, but I will seek the Lord when my enemies are before me. I will not be controlled by past agreements, I will not be controlled by my flesh, I will make my flesh my slave to my spirit. I will humbly submit to the Lord.
With all that being said, I look forward to what the Lord has in store for me and my family this year. Till next blog… peace 😉
