Considering I have not posted a blog in a while I find it fitting that I would do an update. This is not the normal update, however. I’ll just get right to the point. I am coming back home. Well, not just me, the whole squad and every other squad that AIM has on the field.
Why are we coming home?
Plain and simple answer- COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
When am I coming home?
My squad is leaving Azerbaijan at 5:00 AM Tuesday (Azerbaijan Standard Time). The hope is that we will be back in the United States, landing in New York, on Tuesday at 6:30 PM. From there we will spend around 2 days to get sometime to get acclimated and then we are free to find/purchase our transportation back home or to a desired location of our choice.
What does this mean for me?
I really don’t know. We found out this information, due to constant changing of travel and border closings, early sunday morning. With this in mind I really have no long term plans or even short terms for that matter. I would love to get to see and catch up with people while I am figuring out what God has in store for the next phase of my life.
If you have any questions I would love to do my best to answer them.
All that being said, I would like to ask for prayer for my squad and I.
• Safe travels
• Quickly adapt to this change that is coming so suddenly
• Solid processing in safe and Biblical environment
• For direction and guidance in the next steps
• For doors to be opened for jobs (I am in the process of looking and have one in particular that I would love to get).
Thanks everyone for the support while I have been gone and for the faithful prayers. The end of this journey is just the beginning of a new one with God continuing to be the guide.
