I apologize in advance if this blog is totally random..
How often do you stop and enjoy God’s creation…
It’s something I have to be very intentional about every day, if not I’ll lose sight of the Kingdom and focus on the world.
Stop the thoughts I’m so used to thinking..
Stop thinking about the next thing I’m going to do
Stop being unsatisfied with what I have
Stop worrying about how I look
Stop worrying about what someone else thinks of me
Stop worrying if I’m ready
Stop worrying about the future
Stop letting a thought always steal my joy in the moment
Look between the lines of God’s beauty…
Look at the palm trees, so amazingly beautiful that they look fake
Look into the ocean for the first time and pick out a sand dollar as it curls up in my hand
Look up at the sky as the suns rays flush over my face and forget about my white skin getting burned
Look into the sand as a 3 legged neighbourhood dog nicknamed “Tri-pod” starts digging for turtle eggs
Look at a tree that is actually a giant cactus
Look down at a village from a mountain that I just climbed up in the rain
Look at the people around you that God placed in your life for this season
Look into a man’s eyes as they fill with tears as he shares about his broken life
Look at every blessing placed in front of you in His people and His creation
Listen…
Just sit with Him, enjoy his blessings, enjoy seeing his heart in the people and things he placed around you, for you.
Let go of the world…
adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. – Galatians 5:19-21
Instead grab onto…
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
All of these examples I’ve had the honour of experiencing first hand this week. I stopped, looked and listened to God take my breathe away with his beauty over and over again.
Challenge extended
He gives us a choice to live in our flesh or in His sweet spirit…
(Thank you for your prayers and support, I will post an in-depth blog with pictures on this months ministry soon!)
