Whether you are in Costa Rica(like me), Canada or America, we all do the same thing. We put up a wall, a shell of the good things about us that we choose to show. You want to look too “fresh” with the right clothes, perfect hair, and smell so good that we don’t even notice the real you, only the you that you want us to see.
Andd
When you get home, you let out a sigh of relief because you’re so tired from holding yourselves together all day, being careful not to let the real you peak through.
So do I actually see you or do I see what you want me to see?
God made you PERFECT, He knew you before you were formed in your mothers womb. He made you FEARFULLY and BEAUTIFULLY.
It’s scary to take down that wall and let people see who you are without the nipping and tucking we do before we start our day. The great part about it is you will for once stop trying to be something your not and be relieved to step into the person God created you to be.
WORSHIP because your God has overcome the world.
PRAY because God has something to say and your identity is wrapped up in Him.
SMILE because you are a child of God, no matter what happens, God holds the situation and will never leave you nor forsake you.
BE YOURSELF please, children of God, church of God, the last thing we need in this life is more lies.
Look how this boy wears his Costa Rican colours on his face proudly, your skin is God’s colour he’s painted on you, wear it with it pride.
