Yesterday in church the pastor reminded us in his sermon that ‘Leaders are Readers‘. Reading is a big part of World Race culture and since we have limited luggage space everyone shares books among the squad. There have been multiple ‘waiting lists’ for really good books and I once had to physically wrestle April Alvarado to the ground for a book that we both wanted. Needless to say, I won J. It has been so nice to have some extra time to read this year (sitting in train stations, waiting in line at the embassy, riding on planes, down time between ministry…you get the idea). It got me to thinking of all the wonderful books I’ve read so far on the World Race— I tried to read at least one book each month that somehow applied to our ministry but also managed to fit others as well. I would like to share the list with you in case you are looking for a good read! [You can google any of these books to get more of a description if you are interested in reading it].
