Well, team changes are behind us and after the dust has settled I would like the opportunity to introduce you to my awesome new team mates!
In Pidgin ‘Waka’ means ‘one who is always walking’ and in Swahili it means ‘blaze; burn brightly; shine’. So…ultimately we are ‘walking in the light of God’ and are ‘blazing lights for Him!’ Our team verse is 1 John 1:7, which says “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin”.
We are headed to Africa today for the next three months and we are excited to get to know each other, live in community, have adventures, and change people’s lives for the Kingdom.
So…without further ado…let me introduce you to Team Waka!
