God blessed me with an awesome World Race team! We have had many incredible adventures together already. When we were assigned teams back in October I initially felt hesitant about our group’s dynamic but God gave me the verse in Isaiah 55 that night: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord.’ As the heavens are above the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts’. He completely blew my expectations away as I got to know these people and we bonded in such a short amount of time.

Unfortunately, some of our journeys have been shorter than others. Last month we had to say goodbye to our teammate, Thomas, who felt God calling him home. Since that time he has gotten engaged to his girlfriend, Dianna! And this month we lost our dear friends, the Gibsons. They have returned home to adopt a little girl, Devine, who God placed in their lives with a very specific purpose. It is a long story but they shared the situation with us from the very beginning and we are cheering them on! If you would like to know more, go to: justinandkristangibson.theworldrace.org

It was a bittersweet goodbye this week as we packed them in the car after praying and crying together. Justin and Kristan are such unique and special people who truly live a lifestyle of compassion. I made this video of their World Race journey as a tribute to them but it doesn’t do justice to how much they have touched my life in just two months time!
