If someone were to ask me what my favorite food is my answer would have been Thai food, well would still be Thai food. Which brings me to actually being in Thailand. We arrived here Sunday, and this time we actually left the airport! Ever since then my experience from a few days spent in Bangkok to now arriving in Khon Kean could be summed up in one word: delicious.  I have basically been eating my weight in Thai food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have already completely burnt off many of my taste buds, and enjoyed every second of it. Except for this one time I literally had soup the temperature of lava and the spiciness of hell, that time was maybe too intense for me. Anyway I thought many of you would enjoy if I put up a food blog this month.

Thus far my consumption has consisted of:

DRIED FRUIT. I’ve had the kiwi, and tomatoes. The tomatoes are weird.  (20 baht, or 60 cents)

surprise filling soup. THE BEST. Omigosh. So this soup is amazing. You can make it as spicy or not spicy as desired. (this is the soup that nearly killed me though) it has noodles, pork, fish, balls of some sort, spices, leaf things, sugar and sprouts. (35 baht, or $1)

The amount of drinks it takes to eat most Thai food ☺

Pad Thai. yummm. I’ve had about 3 versions of this so far. Apparently our Thai friends say it’s really a Chinese dish. (20 baht, or 60 cents)

Kinda tastes like cotton candy but looks and feel like hair and comes on green pancake.

BUGS! I ate a grasshopper. Tastes like fried nothing. Still gagged though. (10 baht, or 30 cents)

Pineapple with spices and sugar on top.( (12 baht or 40 cents)

Rice cakes with Carmel on top. One of my favorite things.  (12 baht or 40 cents)

Omelet. Literally EVERTHING here comes with rice. (30 Baht, or $1)

YUMMM. NOW GO EAT.

Love Elaina. much more to come 🙂
