This month is all squad month in Katmandu, Nepal. All 44 of us are living under the same roof in our contacts guest/town house. There’s four floors with little apartments on each floor. My team got blessed with having the only floor with beds! This was a treat because last month our sleeping arrangements was sleeping on the floor in our tents. Another blessing is there isn’t mosquitos in Nepal! Our massive amounts of bits we received last month now have a chance to heal without adding more.
The month started with a week of debrief. This gives us a chance to relax and process our thoughts. Debrief will occur the 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 11th month. I used that time to explore Nepal!! I was able to go to the major trekking shopping district, visit a palace, go trekking, and see a Bollywood movie called Bang Bang (greatest movie ever!!). This time gave me what I need to take on ministry. Wednesday was our first day of ministry, however, with this big of a group our contact (Brian) has struggle to place us. Nevertheless, Monday is our first official day in a location and it sounds like we will be teaching English to children…I will keep you to date on next weeks activities.
