We The People

      During my time in drug rehab, one of the many things I learned was to speak for myself and myself only. Not to speak things for other people. It was definitely something I took to heart. It seemed to make sense, because throughout my addiction I was always so quick to put words in other people’s mouths, gossip, slander, or put the blame on someone else beside myself. Since then, I have been very hesitant to speak anything over anyone except for myself. That being said, The Father has been teaching me new things and “un-teaching” others since I have begun this journey on The World Race. One of the many things he is teaching me about is my voice. My voice and words carry weight, authority, and power. 
   
Seeing, hearing, and experiencing what I have on this trip from squad mates and local young adults in the countries has made me notice how much death and lies have been spoken over my generation. Not just my generation of fellow believers, but also my generation as a whole. I was a victim of feeding into and believing those lies. As a result, my life was a mess by the time I was 22 years old. I was addicted to pain medication, weed, and alcohol. I was a thief, a felon, a drop out, and I couldn’t even hold a serving job at a restaurant without being fired. Man oh man has my life changed. And quick too. Glory be to God! All the change started happening when truth and life started being spoken over me and who I am.
    
This is where I start speaking for and over YOU. I’m going to start listing off what and who we (we as in YOU and I) are as a generation.

    
I’m pumped to be watching the revival happen in our generation. More and more young adults my age are starting to walk in The Truth, light and victory.  I’m so blessed to be able to watch it take place all over the world.
