Well I finally made it in to REI this week. There's a huge Memorial Day Weekend sale going on right now. I brought my suggested packing list from The World Race, a list of things I already had and went on in to REI. I started by looking at backpacks. A wonderful young lady, Niki, helped me find the perfect one. She even loaded it up and I walked around the store for 10 minutes or so. She stuck with me and found me some clothes, a sleeping pad, suggested a sleeping bag, and even compression sacks for my backpack. I wrote down everything she said!
Niki suggested that I make a registry so the people that are following and supporting me would be able to buy REI gifts for me if they prefered to do that over sending money. I took her advice and created a gift registry at REI with everything I should need for the year of my life spent overseas.
I would really appreciate if you would take a look and see if you are able to purchase any of the things on the registry. There are items that range from $15-$300.
