I hiked an active volcano today people!  It was incredible.  Pacaya sits at a stout 8,373 feet above sea level.  Almost the entire squad came on the hike which makes it even more awesome.

It was about an hour and a half long hike to the top where there was somewhat recent lava activity and great views.  Here is a picture of Christopher and I at the top and another with 2/3 of our team (Christopher and Laura had already run off at that point).
 

  
 

When we reached the very top, there were places where the air coming out of the ground was hot enough for marshmallows to be roasted.
