It’s so good to say it.  I am finally back in Kenya.  It has been far too long.  Most of you know, this is the continent on the Race that I have been patiently waiting for.  God has reaffirmed in my heart countless times on the Race that this is where I belong.  I landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and I knew it.  I felt like I was home.

I’ve been coming to Kenya since 2002.  I’ve met many people over the past 10 years or so.  I’ve seen many ministries do well, and I’ve seen a few do not so well.  I am excited that during my stay in Kenya this time, I’ll be working with an old friend named Mary Mambo.  Mary runs a ministry in the Mukuru slum called Cana Family Life.  She runs a maternity/HIV/AIDS clinic, a church, a school, and a rescue center for girls.  She has one of the truest and most genuine hearts I have ever seen a person have.  She cares so much for these people and these children.

Our team and another team, Day Three, will be focusing on working in the clinic and doing home visits to spread the name of Jesus.  The girls will be able to help deliver babies and work with expectant and recovering moms.

I’m excited to finally be back.  I’m excited to be able to work with Mary Mambo and I can’t wait to see what God does in Mukuru this month.
