The entire squad is currently at debrief this week for our month in Guatemala. We all traveled to Antigua, Guatemala and are spending some quality time with our coaches, Seth & Karen Barnes, and with God. There have been lots of fantastic worship sessions as well.
The bus to Antigua was seemingly painless and it took us about as long as we had estimated to get there. When we got to our hotel and got all checked in, I was shocked to see how nice of a place it was. The rooms are normally around $60 per person but the owner, Fernando, was charging us just $6 per person! What a gift from God! He also opened his restaurant to us for a lowered rate. We were extremely blessed by his service to our squad.
After we got settled in, we had a team debrief with the coaches and squad leaders. We met at a lovely crepe shop that had delicious crepes with Nutella and ice cream as well as smoothies and other treats. The coaches and squad leaders decided our team is doing very well and we all agree that we can go a long way together next month in Honduras.
We had many worship sessions and teachings with Seth Sr and various worship leaders from the squad. One that stood out in particular to me was the one where we went up front and wrote a lie that had been spoken over us in the past, crossed it out, and then wrote a new truth that was found in Christ Jesus to replace the lie. It was powerful seeing most of the squad go to the front and write these things.

(It's blurry on purpose…)
The squad has really grown together over the last month and it's been very powerful to see how God and the Holy Spirit are moving within all of us. We are climbing Pacaya tomorrow, an active volcano here in Guatemala and then it's off to Honduras!
