After reading several blogs before coming to Training Camp (TC) this week I knew it would definitely make for an interesting experience.  From what I'd read, TC would be tough for me – physically, emotionally, and spirtually.  Boy did that prove to be true.

The September 2012 Route 4 squad is known as "L Squad".  When we arrived at the airport, we were requested to wear orange and represent the letter "L".  The spirit and team cohesiveness was epic during check-in and registration.

Lets start with the food!  The staff at Adventures in Missions did a great job turning the dining hall in to an ethic eating experience.  We had meals every day from each different region that we'd be visiting.  This also included a buying experience at an open market for several squad members.  Check out this meal!

Fellow Squad Members: Cathy Carty, Amanda Vanzant, and Tess Cervenka await their meal of Fish Eye Soup, Snake Intestine, and Cous Cous.

The dining hall was a fantastic way for our squad to bond.  Many times we were in session and we're able to spend much time getting to know each other.  Below is a picture of us enjoying some tea during a meal.

Training Camp took place in Georgia at Toccoa Falls College.  The campus was beautiful and a short walk with the team led us to this –  A freaking huge and beautiful waterfall!

Several nights were spent in our tents in the rain – however, little did we know that we would appreciate these wet nights.  The tents beat the socks off of the school bus.  I think the only two that actually slept were Tiffany Carty and Sarah Perretto in their fancy hammocks!

The worship and the messages were absolutely incredible.  You could feel the presence of God in the room as he exposed my squad mates brokenness.  It was an absolutely breathtaking sight to see the power of God move like he did in the 400 young adults here at TC.

One of the primary purposes of TC is to evalutate the way that squad members work with each other and split them in to teams of 7 to actually perform ministry once in country.  Through many team building excercises and personality tests, our squad leaders, trainers, and coaches were able to establish 8 wonderful teams for L Squad!

Ladies and Gentlemen, for the first time ever, the lovely members of TUMBLER.

I am so incredibily excited to be spending the next year of my life in close community with these fine people.  Starting on the left we have Laura Johnson, Christopher Courtney, myself, Alia Barkos, Michelle Close, our fearless and awesome leader, Erin Beekhuis, and lastly, Michelle Kwak.

We leave tomorrow for home and I won't get to see my new family again until September when we launch and I cannot wait!  These people seriously rock my face off.  I couldn't have asked for a better leader then Erin, and better teammates then the rest of them.  I am so excited to be able to grow my relationship with Jesus Christ with these young adults!
