OK seriously, we aren't astronauts – but we did "launch" this week.  Our entire squad (as well as the other three September squads) convened in Chicago for the past few days for some final preparation for the Race.  It was great being reunited with all of my squad mates.  The past 6 weeks (42 days to be exact) have seemed to be so much longer than they really were.  We were able to spend lots of time together with the other squads during sessions, and time with our teams during team time which was wonderful.  There were even a couple of sessions that parents were able to attend.  Christopher's parents and my parents even took the entire team to lunch before they left Chicago!

I am so thankful that I got to spend some time with my parents and my brother in Chicago before we headed out.

Team TUMBLER!

Launch was filled with lots of emotion and lots of amazing time with new friends.  The sessions were great and the speakers and their messages were powerful.  The worship was absolutely incredible.  Before every session the leaders would pick a few people to lead worship and what God did through that was moving.  This is finally happening – we are leaving for the airport to head to Guatemala in just a few short hours.  L squad is lifting off in to the great unknown of God's greatness.
