God has been doing some great things in my life lately. I went to a conference in Illinois called, “Does God Heal?” It was amazing! One of the speakers got a word from God that there was someone in the crowd that had hearing trouble and they were going to be healed that night. Then a man stepped forward who had been deaf in one ear since he served in Vietnam and God heals him right before my eyes. It was incredible. If that doesn’t get you fired up, then I don’t know what does.
After the conference I started a fundraiser called, “adopt a keychain”. I made keychains with stamped numbers 1 through 100. People adopted a keychain of their choice and donated that amount. I was so blessed with all the love and support I got from family and friends. In 24 hours, over half of the keychains had been spoken for!
But the blessings didn’t stop there. After that conference I had been praying for God to present opportunities for me to reach out to people. Last week I was working an out of town job, just south of New York. After work one evening, my coworker invited me to go down to the hotel bar to hang out for a little bit. As I sat listening to the music, my coworker brings up my mission trip. Before I know it, everyone there is gathered around asking me about my mission trip. By the time it’s all said and done, I have my keychain tools spread across the bar. I’ve got tears in my eyes, making keychains for these wonderful people as they just keep handing me money for my mission trip.
Don’t worry, God wasn’t done yet. A few days later, while I was praying I felt like God wanted me to grab two of my extra keychains before going to church. After church a friend of mine and I went to go eat. While we were there, God really put this one waitress on my heart. So we got up and went over to her and I said, “I hope this isn’t too weird but I feel like I need to pray for you. Is there anything I can pray about for you?” She begins crying and says, “Yes please, my boyfriend just got in a wreck a few minutes ago”. After praying I run out to my car and get my two keychains and give them to her as just a reminder for her and her boyfriend that we are still praying for them.
Because of this, I am now making free custom keychains for anyone that wants one. You are more than welcome to donate for a keychain if you feel led, but the only thing required to get one is you must tell me some way I can be praying for you.
