So much has happened at training camp that i am still processing and trying to unpack it all. However, one thing was emphasized a lot especially towards the end of camp, and it was the fact that we only have 6 weeks left.
We were told that this time between training camp and launch would be the hardest and most difficult time and season for us as racers. It is during this time that we would encounter a heightened spiritual attack from the enemy in various ways. From health issues to internal struggles, losses, anything really. Guys, this is so true, i know i myself barely made it back from training camp and temptation was coming at me full force, my heart has been distraught and hurting, i have been battling foubt about going on the race, even after the Lord revealed this is where he is leading, and i have been physically exhausted and battling allergies. thoughts of loosing my best friend came back more intensely and it has been rough.
Not only that but guys my squad has been struggling to, from illnesses to church related issues, anxiety, exhaustion, and possibly the loss of a friend.
As i sit here with my team in different locations and see how we are all battling hardcore in this short season the Lord reminded me of when Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days. It is written that BEFORE he started his earthly ministry and fulfilled what was written he went following the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted and tested by satan. That’s crazy that he willingly walked into 40 days of temptation and testing before going to complete the ministry he was given.
I cannot help but think God and his Holy Spirit has lead us into this 6 week wilderness season before launching into the life and ministry he is calling us to for a purpose, what that purpose is we have no clue. But what i do know is all of us launching need your help. We need your prayers now mors than ever to remain faithful unto the Lord in this season and as we launch. We need your support and encouragement in these 6 weeks, so if you know someone launching on the race please encourage them and pray for them. Ask how you can help support them. It may be just visiting with them because some of us feel alone and are going through it alone.
For us launching, we have so much left to get done that we may forget to be fully present where we are and finish strong. Seek the Lord and invite people into your life in this season. Be encouraged that God is good and Jesus is with us and will take care of it all and provide it all. He went to the wilderness to and was tempted and tried right before starting ministry so he knows. We are not alone and together in Christ we will get through.
Sincerely
Your warrior in Christ
Dylan.
