Hey y’all. My name’s Dylan and I’m 20 years old. I was born in Boise, ID but have lived in Stockton, CA for most of my life. Growing up I played competitive golf and rode horses. I’ve been attending the same church since I was six years old and it’s my second home. From being in kid’s choir to now volunteering in the high school ministry, my church has played a critical role in helping me grow into the person I am today. I began attending my dream school, Baylor University, in the fall of 2014. My freshman year was everything I could have asked for and more. However, I began experiencing anxiety at the end of my freshman year and it caused me to hit a giant wall my sophomore year. Long story short (I’ll blog about this later), I ended up having to leave during finals week and not return in the spring semester. Y’all, school was my life. I am a recovering perfectionist and overachiever, so this was completely devastating. But Jesus. I wouldn’t be writing this blog post if that didn’t happen. During my time off school, Jesus completely changed my life. He wrecked me. He healed me. He told me who I am. He told me who He is. And for the first time, I really believed Him. I didn’t just know he loved me, I believed with my whole heart and experienced it like never before. He saved me, y’all. I was completely hopeless and he pulled me out of the pit. He told me I needed to surrender my well laid out plans to him and GO. So here I am, taking another year off school to tell the world about my awesome, faithful, loving, and holy God.
Please pray for my team and I as we embark on this crazy adventure! If you feel led, you can click the orange button on the top right of this page to support me. I can’t do this alone. I’m completely trusting God to pull this off. Donations big and small are greatly appreciated!
