This is what today looked like today.

While one of my friends was getting as a tattoo. We talked with the guys at the tattoo shop. They were like any other guys.

Making dumb and crude jokes and poking fun at each other, and asking us words in English. After writing them on my leg for awhile we moved to paper. They continued to ask about other random words, such as body parts and social graces. And then make more jokes using the new words to each other, typical guy stuff.

This trip has continually shown me how we, across the world, have so many similarities. Too often we try to concentrate on what is different. Ethnicity, politics, wealth, etc.

Finding common ground with people has been what is great these past few months. It has allowed me to make relationships with people despite a language barrier.

It even give the opportunity to talk about life rather than surface level things.

This is what I enjoy. Finding similarities then sharing views on other things.
