Don’t you just love it when you’re reading God’s word and God sends you an “aha!” Kinda idea? That’s what happened to me while reading Proverbs 11! I was just thinking about how we as humans don’t like being around people who are so negative and like being around encouraging people. It’s because God is nothing but encouraging when you get to spend time in His word and get to know Him! People are drawn to positivity, because the Father only sees the good while not seeing the sin.
Proverbs 11 in a nutshell is that God takes delight in those who are righteous, but consistently says the wicked will perish. We are only made righteous through Christ and not on our own effort. When we take delight in His Son he sees the good in us and that’s what drew the connection between why we like being around positive people. It’s because Christ is the constant positive being that dwells in us.
Find a companion who will strive to see you at your best. Because that’s what Christ ultimately sees and wants out of you!
