We are riding down the road and realize there were 3 empty spots in our van… long shot, but 2 days ago, I remembered Kevin, Amanda, and Chris making mention of interest of going to the bungy jump, but they didn't want to rent a car.
So we texted Kevin and got him on the phone to see if they would be interested. We were not sure where they were staying, but when we finally got him on the phone to get an answer about them going or not, we asked where they were, and they were actually off the VERY NEXT EXIT! Haha, awesome!
Once again, Jesus was blessing us. We picked the 3 of them up and hit the road for our crazy adventure half way across South Africas coast to go jump off the world highest bridge bungy jump!
God loves us so much and wants good things for His children. Even if it is crazy random stuff! He always provides. I took a dramamine at some point soon after leaving Cape Town and dont recall too much of the 8 hourish van ride. Most of it was spent with David, Jess, and I piled on one row all sprawled out trying to sleep as best we could.
Side note…
On The World Race… You just learn to travel well and sleep anywhere necessary. i.e the floor of a train across China… air planes… boats… 5 people to a 3 man tent because some of you luggage has been lost… You get the point…
Around 5:15am, we cross our bridge and pull into the parking area at the jump. Most of the group stayed in the van to sleep, but David, Jess, and I couldn't contain our excitement and got out to take our first look at what we would jump off of in a few short hours.
As we approached the look out for the bridge, my heart sank. Deep. This was crazy! At the same time, it was beautiful though! From the bridge, you can see the Indian Ocean and the beautiful mountains! I just stood there speechless and in awe of all God created! After taking it in for a bit, we decided to lay down on a park bench for a few hours for some rest…
