A couple weeks ago, we had a few days off… So 10 of us decided to take a little trip… To the world highest bridge bungy jump! Let me tell you about your little adventure and how God provided for us in so many ways… Papa is so good!

We decided that the 10 of us would rent 2 cars and drive the 8 or so hours to the bungy jump, hang out, fellowship, and then return the next day. We packed our stuff, head to the car rental place with our reservations in hand, and when we arrive, the sign read "Closed". We called and called, but got no answer. So we walked around Cape Town trying to find another way to the jump, but had no luck!

We finally head over to the bus station to see about a bus and again found nothing. On the way, we were praying for a ride. As we are in the bus station we run into a guy named, Harry, who owned a van rental service. After calling around for a bit, we got nothing so we finally opted for Harrys Van Services. Haha… It gets better! He gave it to us for really cheap! So much cheaper than the cars were going to cost! Praise God! He said to give him 45 minutes and he would have them there to pick us up.

So we went to get food. Most of the group went to a little cafe, while others of us headed to McDonalds, but it was closed. So we went to KFC… Too expensive. You learn to live cheap on the World Race.

Side note… True story…
You know you are a World Racer when, you are in a public night market, an African woman finishes eating, gets up and leaves, and leaves her 3 egg rolls laying there… You proceed over to the table, check to make sure they do not belong to anyone else, and then slide them into you pocket to snack on… Yep, Marian and & I sure did do that! Haha

Anyways, back to the story… So we walked away from KFC and headed back to the little cafe. We get there and it was closed! Marian starts knocking on the window until the guy came over and asked what we needed. We said we were looking for me some food, he told us he only had one more "Cheesy Russian" and so I told him I would take it. Amaris bought a coke also & while we are standing at the counter, we made friends with the guy. I said, "you are a good man, Charlie Brown. Opening back up for us," as he heated up my pastry! Haha, and he said, "I was already closed, but I wanted to help you out." He then asked what we were doing here and we told him about the World Race. We finished the purchase, thanked him, said God bless you, and headed out to meet the others.

As we are walking to the station, a silver van pulls up and "the pastry man" gets out and begins to follow us inside. We walk in and he says, "how many of you are there?" We tell him 10 of us, then he offers us all free drinks!  He takes us to his 2nd store, and invites us all in. We are all so blown away and get supper excited! Free cokes! When he opens the store, he walks to the back and brings out a whole tub of pastries and tells us to take all we want! Food and drinks! Haha, it was crazy! Marian had been praying for free food and sure enough, God provided for all of us! We were blown away by Gods provision once again!

We finished getting our stuff and then asked him what his name was. His name is Prince Ibe and he gives us his business card. A couple of us then give him our WR prayer cards and we finish up with some photos and a time of prayer over Prince and his business. It was powerful! Then I looked down at his business card and happen to notice on the bottom it reads "Philippians 4:19." I asked Prince what the verse means and he replies, "and my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." WOW! As soon as he read it, my heart was overwhelmed! He really is so good to us and meets our every need! Each of us are on a super tight budget of less than $3 a meal, so we are leaning what true dependance on God to provide looks like. He never fails!

Here we are wondering how we will afford a good meal and transportation and God provides us with both! We thanked Prince again, exchanged information, and made arrangements to join him Sunday for church! And before we knew it, our van showed up!
