Well, folks… You read it correctly! I’m going on tour with Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors as Drew’s intern for his spring tour! The “NOTHING BUT TROUBLE, NOTHING BUT TIME TOUR” will kick off March 28th in Waco, Texas, along side special guest, Judah and The Lion!

How did this even happen, you ask? Let me try to explain (because I’m currently attempting to wrap my mind around it as well).
I “met” Drew a few years back at one of his shows, and thought to myself, “It would be so legit to work his merchandising table at one of his shows next time he’s in town!” So, I asked his manager and he gave me an email address and told me to contact them the next time they were coming to town and let them know I’d be interested in helping.
Last year, Drew was doing a show in Athens, GA, but sadly, I ended up not getting to go, and they’d already filled the volunteer positions to help out that night. I was so bummed, because Drew is one of my favorites!
A few weeks back, I noticed that he was coming to Asheville in April, and I thought, “YES! I’m gonna go ahead and email these folks and see if they need help.” So I did…
A little bit later, I received this email:
“Hi Dusty!
I'll have Sarah make a note about you helping with merch in Asheville, thanks for emailing so quickly!”
We actually would love to find someone that is a good fit for this short Spring Tour to work as an intern. If you're interested and available for all the dates, let's find some time to talk on the phone this week.”
I immediately emailed back and took the interview offer.
A few days later, I patiently waited for my phone to ring.
Beforehand, I prayed that God would be in the midst of all this if it were to happen. If not, I prayed He would shut the door.
The conversation couldn’t have gone any better! I was asked to send in my resume, and informed that Drew was in Europe for his tour, but would contact me when he returned, because they thought I’d be great for the position! I should expect a call around February 12th or 13th, and I just needed to talk to Drew so he could actually have a conversation with the guy he’d be sharing a vehicle with and living along side, LOL… Completely understandable!
So, I hung up the phone and I sent in my resume!
Fast-forward 2 weeks…

The morning of February 12th, I received an email that Drew was back in the country and he wanted to set up a time to chat. I was free whenever, since we were battling round 2 of the “Snowpocalypse!” So we set the date for the following day…
FEBRUARY 13TH, 2014
I was floored…
Why, because this date is super special to me and has been for a long time now.
February 13th, 2002: Jesus captured my heart and asked me to follow Him.
February 13th, 2011: Jesus asked me to leave everything and go on the World Race.
February 13th, 2012: I found myself sitting in a small house in Romania, surrounded by -25F temperatures and 3 feet of snow, sharing my testimony with everybody for one of the few times EVER!
This day has always been big for me for some reason. And once again, Jesus had plans that I never thought possible.
That night, I laid my head down, excitedly awaiting morning to come, just like a child on Christmas Eve.
