We’ve completed the race. We’ve completed 11 months of foreign countries, foreign foods, ministry of all types, and building relationships with people around the world. We have slept on the floor, in our tents, on the bus, on a train, and many other places. We have preached on dirt floors, taught hours of English lessons in the scorching heat, and evangelized in the pouring rain. We’ve cleaned up bat poop, killed rats with plastic bats, eaten things that didn’t look edible, and moved rocks in more countries than I can remember, all for the sake of ministry. We haven’t driven a car, listened to new music, eaten our favorite meals, worn a seat belt, or used a cell phone since we left. And after all this, we’re not done…
That’s right, God is still calling us to more. More dependency, more obedience, more trust, and more of Him. He’s definitely said that 11 months isn’t enough. He wants it all. So, that’s what we are going to do. We are stepping out again in faith and trusting that the Lord will provide.
The next step for Dustin and I is a leadership academy called G42 in Mijas, Spain starting in Jan. 2012. G42 mission’s statement: The 42nd generation is a network of Christ-followers with the mission to plant churches, businesses, & ministries to spread the Kingdom of God around the world-to inspire and develop leaders who are passionate about giving their lives to the Message of Christ.
Its goal is to raise up deeply rooted disciples of Christ in this generation, empower them with truth and knowledge, then send them to the world to bring God’s Kingdom to earth.
It is a six month leadership academy that focuses on discipleship, calling out the greatness in its students, and molding the passions God has given them to develop a ministry and vision.
We are going to this academy with the hopes that we can build a plan for a ministry long term. We have never prayed so much or discussed with each other more about our future and exactly where God wants us, and we believe the first step is G42. We are praying that again you will partner with us to raise support and be a part of our lives for another season.
