Expectations
for the World Race

Here are just a few of the things that we are looking
forward to:

  • To
chase after God with everything that we are
  • To realize
the things we take for granted everyday
  • To miss
our family, friends, and puppy dearly
  • To live
in genuine biblical community with our team
  • To lose
    our sense of entitlement
  • To eat
things that we have never even dreamed existed
  • To
travel and live in unpleasant conditions
  • To be
broken for the least of these
  • To go
days or weeks without even the possibility of a shower
  • To grow
    in knowledge & spiritual awareness
  • To be
shaken out of contentment and complacency
  • To be
    joyfully uncomfortable, insecure, and unsafe
  • To
    witness miracles
  • To
leave behind the pursuit of the American Dream
  • To fall
    in love with the broken
  • To hear
very different views of the Gospel and to strengthen our relationship with Christ
    because of it
  • To see
the vastness and beauty of God’s creation
  • To be
humbled by how small we are compared to the God’s glory and His kingdom
  • To hear
    from God
  • To
struggle and wrestle with our faith and to fall down often
  • To be
    uplifted and be given peace
  • To have
experiences, meet people, and live stories that we can hopefully share with our
    grandchildren
  • To live
    without
  • To
pursue the truth of the Word and fortify our conviction in it
  • To be
sore, hurt, ill, and exhausted at the same time
  • To cultivate
God’s vision for marriage in our lives and grow closer to each other
  • To
experience the whole spectrum of human emotions
  • To
continue to search for God’s will in our lives
  • To share
God’s glory in everything that we could never expect
  • To come
home and never be the same
