and hear people speak about our calling, the 42 generation and our
work for the Kingdom, it tends to be a bit overwhelming at times.
Some of you might be asking, “what is the 42nd
Generation?” Good question. The 42nd Generation is the
generation on earth that finally claims the inheritance of God and
passes that onto their kids. It is the generation that chooses to
rise up and spreads the Kingdom by living lives guided by the Holy
Spirit and conscious of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. We could be
that generation, but we might not be. The point is, do we want it
bad enough? Do we want the inheritance (the nations) that God has
promised His children, or don’t we? For us, we want it! We believe
that there is so much more life that God has for us if we will just
reach out and grab it. For another perspective on what our time at G42 actually looks like, here is another blog that paints a really good picture: http://thestevejoadventure.blogspot.com/2011/06/g42.html
It is wonderful to be around
people passionate about Christ and having His name proclaimed to the
nations. And we are not just dreaming about it. We are writing
things down and making plans to how that will happen when we leave
here in six months. We are being asked hard questions, reality
questions, that have us diving into prayer, research, and networking.
We are setting tangible goals that we can measure our success by.
We have been dreaming up a place for people in ministry, married
couples, and families to come to reconnect and rediscover the love of
the Lord. We want to get people back into God’s creation,
experiencing Him in a new way and be filled back up to go back into
their ministries with renewed life and purpose.
Our idea has many different
facets, but we are keeping our hands open if God wants to place a new
dream in our hearts. It’s a beautiful, messy, brilliant, terrifying
thing to let God be in control. We have been called to be obedient
and take one step at a time, trusting God to reveal His plan for us
at His timing, so that is what we will continue to do. We are
excited to get things rolling and look forward to growing more.
in claiming your inheritance that God has promised all of His children? Is it
using your time in prayer for the nations, reaching out to your
neighbors and community, or instilling in your children the love that
Jesus has for them? Does it look a bit more drastic like speaking
out against the injustices of the world like sex trafficking and poverty or
taking a mission trip to help those who really need you? Think about
it and give us some feedback on what God is asking you to do to claim
your inheritance He has given you. Maybe you are still trying to
figure that out, so we challenge you to pray and ask God what your
part is. Thank you so much for all your love and support. We are
praying for you and hope you will continue to pray for us as well.
We want to be a part of something great.
