G-d did such a mighty work in Italy!
First of all, i want to say thank you to everyone that supported me on this missions trip. Because of your support & prayers, i was able to help lead a team of 20 young men & women to Italy, teaching & sharpening their faith in the L-rd, as well as help them minister the Gospel to the people of Italy!
As a project we ministered to 700-800 people & saw around 25 people give their lives to Jesus Christ & make Him the L-rd & Savior of their lives. PRAISE G-d!
My team & i stayed in a beautiful area called Acquaviva just south of Bari, Italy. We worked with a church called The Church of Resurrection or in italian CHIESA DELLA RESURREZIONE under Pastor Saverio Corsini, otherwise known as Pastor Reno! This church & the people that serve with Pastor Reno are absolutely incredible. They were the most servant hearted & G-d fearing people i have ever met.
We flew into Roma on the 26th of July & drove from Roma down south to Acquaviva. We settled into the church & ate our first real Italian meal. WOW. There is truly no comparison to what genuine Italian food tastes like. As we adjusted to the jet lag & Italy being 9 hours ahead, we enjoyed a good meal & settled into where everyone was going to sleep. The men so kindly took the floor of the church & the women were blessed to stay in a home about a block away.
We had two teams of 45 people in total. Bobby & i's team, Unveiled & Travis & Brianna's team El Sponges. We split up where Unveiled stay in Acquaviva with Pastor Reno & the Sponges went to Monopoli & worked with Pastor Franco. Both teams jumped right into ministry the following day & throughout the week were able to go to a total of 16 ministry sites & ministered to 700-800 people. We saw a total of 25 people give their lives to Jesus Christ & make Him their L-rd & Savior! Praise G-d!
The people of Italy have been very burned by religion & roman catholicism so it was not an easy atmosphere to come & tell people of not only G-d's love, but the saving power of Jesus Christ, the only way to the Father. Some were resistant, but most people were softened to the message & wanted to know more. The people of Italy need to hear of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & His saving power of grace upon us. (Romans 5)
G-d has definitely opened up a few doors for me to go back, so the next steps for me personally are figuring out G-d's timing with the World Race & what He is asking me to do. Pray with me for discernment and wisdom of what G-d is asking & leading. I'm excited for these next few months & soon to come January & the World Race.
