Have you ever found yourself saying, “This can’t be real?” or “Is this really happening?” This is how i feel. Surreal. Slightly anxious. excited. sad. ready, but not ready.
As i ride the train from Bari to Rome, i stop and try to realize how two months just went by, how in just a week and a half i will embark on an adventure i have been waiting for, for two & half years.
“Two & a half years.” i say to myself. i remember it like it was yesterday. i was at my best friend V’nai’s house for a short break from the Honor Academy in August of 2009. A good friend of mine, Garrhet calls me up and says, “Dura you need to check out this missions organization, it’s right up your alley. It’s called The World Race.” As i sat on V’nai’s bed, i watched a video on The World Race and began to weep. i wept as i saw pictures, video clips, stories of people advancing the Kingdom of G-d and telling them of Jesus Christ; my best friend, the one who COMPLETELY changed my life. i heard Jesus say, “Go. I have called you to do this.” Everything inside of me was overwhelmed with joy, excitement, and a complete sense of peace, ‘This is what i am supposed to do.’ & then i heard Jesus say, “But wait, its not yet time.”
So i waited. Yearning & asking, “Jesus when? When can i go?”
In January of 2010, i heard Jesus say, “January of 2012” & throughout 2010, i continued to hear Jesus say, “Dura I have called you to the nations. I have called you to the nations. Dura, I have called you to be a nomad.”
Over & Over,
“Dura, I have called you to be a nomad. I have called you to the nations.”
& This is not for anything that i have done or can do, but simply because He chose me, just like He has CHOSEN YOU.
“As a prisoner for the L-rd, then,
I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”
[Ephesians 4:1]
Obedience.
Submission.
Are you being [faithful] to the call of G-d on your life?
Brothers & Sisters, i urge you, – Stop ignoring the voice of G-d.
He has been calling you forth, be quiet before Him, & Listen.
Those who have been ignoring, ignore no longer.
YOU ARE CHOSEN.
Do you realize the significance of your life?
Do you realize you have a purpose, a very specific destiny & call because you, yourself are uniquely made “For such a time as this.” There was no accident of your birth, of where you were born, everything G-d does is intentional with purpose.
There is nothing you could do that will change the way G-d sees you.
You are His son, His daughter. His beloved.
Stop being bitter with how you were raised or the family you were born into. i know for some, your childhood might have been difficult.
Some of you have been hurt, bruised, broken, scarred.
But G-d has sustained you.
You are alive. You have breath in your lungs.
& You have been brought to this point in your life, where you are in every situation, to the point of reading this blog because G-d is in love with you & calling out for you.
“For a man’s way are in full view of the L-rd, and He examines all his path.”
[Proverbs 5:21]
“His eyes are on the ways of men; He sees their every step.”
[Job 34:21]
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
[Jeremiah 1:5]
& Now, it is time to make a decision.
Will you live a life worthy of the calling you have received? More importantly, will you live a life worthy of G-d, worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the very one who has saved you from the depths of Hell if you believe & confess that He is who He says He is;
The Son of G-d. [John 3:16]
The only way to heaven, the only truth, & the only true life. [John 14:6]
Your time is short. Life is but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and YET your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are YOU not much MORE VALUABLE than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”

Oh the peace of pure abandon. Oh the joy of sweet surrender.
i have never found more fulfillment, more joy, more peace, more satisfaction then in serving Jesus and going or doing what it is He has called me to do.
This is true life – give it all away.
“Whoever wants to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for Me [Jesus] will save it.
What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?”
[Luke 9:24-25]
I’m not saying it’s easy, but i am saying it’s worth it.
i dare you, take a chance with Jesus & see what happens.
