One of the first nights we were walking throught the thai boxing area, we were saying hi to a friend we met named Tip. All of a sudden this bubbly, beautiful Thia girl with almond eyes that almost shut when she smiles, came running up to us and introduced herself. She was the light of my night, and always was every night we went out after that. Each night she goes down the bar streets and sells flowers. This little girl’s eyes have seen more perversion and evil, than most people do in a lifetime, and she’s only eight years old! It pains me that this is her life.
She is the sweetest, innocent little girl. You seriously meet her and want to adopt her right then and there. Everyone in the bars know her, and they all love her. After talking to her almost every time we have went out, we found out more of her life story.
Wallie has been raised by her grandmother. Her mother, sister, and brother live in a village somewhere. She says it is her who lives with her grandmother so she can sell flowers. She says she would come live with me, lol, but she would miss when she gets to see her sister.
This precious child has been walking down the streets filled with bars, prostitutes, and “Johns” to sell flowers until about midnight since she was 4 years old! Half her life she has worked! That alone breaks my heart! She has no clue what it’s like to be a child! The life of playing barbies, board games, or ball is a mystery to her. She doesn’t have a Mommy and Daddy kiss her and tuck her in each night before she goes to bed.
Instead, she sees the Red Light District and most likely imagines that this is where she is destined to be. Most girls in the bars have said that they watched their sisters or other girls doing it and knew it was what they would do. She is being taught that her worth is in her body and what she can do with it. She has no one to show her what self respect looks like. She has no clue the value she has, how loved she is, and that she has a Daddy who laid down everything for her and delights in her. She is the apple of His eye-and she doesn’t know.
We fell in love with this precious child of God and was able to love on her. We told her she is special and God loves her. She will always have a piece of my heart! I will always pray that God intervenes in some crazy way in her life and will rescue her from her circumstances. You see, what Satan intends for evil, God can use for good! …I don’t know how the heck He does that!!! It blows my mind!!! But, it is true!!! He has done it in my life and He can do it for you!
